Portrait of Mother
The painting “Portrait of the Mother” is executed in a restrained, almost somber color palette. The woman’s face, framed by a dark headscarf, is highlighted by light-and-shadow contrast, which lends the image a special sense of drama and inner strength. In her gaze, one can read the depth of life experience, sorrow, and resilience characteristic of a generation that endured severe trials.
