Lake in the evening
The painting “Evening over the Lake” is a lyrical landscape filled with the tranquility of the departing day. In the foreground, dense grass and flowers frame the mirror of the water. The lake reflects the blue and silvery shades of the evening sky, where the sun has already set beyond the horizon. Along the shores and in the distance, trees and hills are illuminated by the soft light of sunset. The composition is built on the contrast between dark silhouettes and bright highlights on the water, enhancing the sense of stillness and peace.
Vladimir Storchakov
Born on April 2nd, 1911 in the village of Rochan of Kharkov Region (Ukraine). Graduated from the Kharkov Art Institute (1936). Since 1935 he took part in art exhibitions. Worked in monumental and decorative painting, scenography and design art. The works are in museums of Minsk, Brest, Baranovichi, Pinsk. A member of the BAU since I960. Died on January 6th, 1968
