Leaving autumn
“Departing Autumn” is a marble sculpture in which the female figure becomes an allegorical embodiment of the change of seasons. The image of a woman with her head bowed and hands pressed to her body is filled with gentle sadness and a sense of farewell. The smooth lines of the silhouette, flowing into the folds of the drapery, evoke associations with falling leaves and the fading of nature. The light surface of the marble enhances the feeling of fragility and silence, creating an impression of subtle harmony between the beauty of the body and the symbolism of autumn.
