The graphic piece Antique Shop is more than a still life — it is a profound meditation on time, memory, and objects that have outlived their eras. The composition is rich in detail: scales, jugs, candlesticks, chains, shells, funnels, masks — items seemingly pulled from the chest of the past. These objects do not merely lie still; they are woven into a complex ornamental structure, forming a chaotic yet harmonious space.

A striking feature is the bright, almost radiant shape on the right — like a portal or blank window — contrasted with the dense material world on the left. This tension between light and shadow, emptiness and accumulation, drives the image’s visual drama. The work is executed in a delicate graphic technique, using layered hatching to create texture and depth. It invites not only visual appreciation but philosophical reflection on what remains of things when time has faded away.
