Detachment moving along the river bank

The painting “The Detachment Rode Along the Shore” is executed in a dynamic manner and conveys the movement of a mounted formation. The silhouettes of riders and horses stand out against the bright sky, creating a sense of monumentality and heroic stride. Dense brushstrokes in the foreground render the energy of grass and earth, contrasting with the clear space of the horizon.
