The Mir castle

“Mir Castle” is an expressive painterly interpretation of one of the main architectural monuments of Belarus, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The artist employs vivid colors and dynamic brushstrokes to convey the grandeur and monumentality of the castle. Contrasting lines and rhythmic repetitions of the towers enhance the sense of power and historical significance. The turbulent sky, painted in an expressionist manner, adds drama to the composition and emphasizes the intense character of the work

Elena Kolos

Born on June 2nd, 1966 in the city of Kremenchug (Ukraine). Graduated from the Vitebsk Technological Institute of Light Industry (Design Department), 1991. Works in the field of the easel painting and weaving. Since 1992 she is a participant of art exhibitions. She is repeated prize-winner of the town competition «My native town», town of Baranovichi. The works are in museums of Minsk, Baranovichi, Lvov, in private collections in a number of foreign countries. A member of the BAD since 1999. Lives in Baranovichi
