Autumn. Or Winter?..
The painting “Autumn. Or Winter?..” immerses the viewer in a space where the boundaries between nature and architecture, the real and the fantastic, are blurred. In the foreground rise forms reminiscent at once of seashells and towers of ancient fortifications, evoking associations with archetypes of time and eternity. Above them hovers a gigantic object, shaped like a musical instrument or a cosmic vessel, filled with lines and inner tension. The background, rendered in golden-greenish tones with patches of white, suggests the change of seasons, the elusive transition between life and its suspension. The plasticity of the forms leans toward organicity, yet simultaneously carries industrial-constructive motifs. There emerges a sense of a world where the familiar categories of “autumn” and “winter” cease to be mere seasons, becoming instead a metaphor of the cyclicality of existence. The combination of cosmic symbolism, architectural motifs, and living nature makes the work philosophical, prompting reflection on the eternal cycle of life
