Brest, Mitskevich street

The painting “Brest, Mickiewicz Street” is created in the tradition of the emotional landscape, where the architectural motif becomes a bearer of historical and cultural memory. The artist depicts a building with classical columns, hidden among trees with trimmed crowns, which creates an atmosphere of slightly anxious autumnal anticipation. Warm ochre-brown tones combined with gray-green shades convey a mood of fading, while at the same time emphasizing the connection between the urban environment and nature. The light refracting on the façade makes the building appear almost ghostly, as if it emerges through the thickness of time. The landscape does not strive for topographical accuracy: it rather serves as a symbol of a place where history, memory, and modernity intertwine. The rhythm of bare trees stretching toward the sky intensifies the dramatic character of the composition and alludes to the motif of endurance and eternal rebirth
