Noah‘s Ark
The sculptural composition “Noah’s Ark” is created in the spirit of symbolic art, where simplicity of form is combined with depth of imagery. The main volume — an elongated wooden body resembling a ship — is set on thin supporting legs, giving the object a sense of lightness and levitation. On its upper surface rests a golden egg — a universal symbol of the origin of life and eternal renewal. Small dotted inlays on the sides of the structure resemble portholes, reinforcing the association with a ship while also lending the work a modern industrial touch. The contrast between the natural texture of the wood and the metallic gleam of the “egg” expresses the tension between the eternal and the temporal, the sacred and the earthly. As a result, the sculpture becomes not a literal illustration of the biblical story but its metaphor: the ark here is a sign of hope, preservation, and the rebirth of humanity
