Evgeniy Shatokhin
Born on February 25th, 1947 in the city of Pinsk (Belarus). Graduated from Orlov Pedagogical Institute (1969) and the Kharkov Art Industry Institute (1973). Works in easel drawing (a drawing, linocut, etching, lithography) and water-colour painting. Since 1972 he is a participant of art exhibitions. The works are in museums and picture galleries of Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, France, Germany, private collections in Belarus and a number of foreign countries. In 1988 he founded and till 1997 was the head of the children's art school in Pinsk. Awarded with the medal of Conseiller General a Corbie (France, 1993), with prize of Consieller General a Peronne (France, 1997). A member of the BAD since 1982. Lives in Pinsk.
