Thunder-storm has passed
The painting The Storm Has Passed is a poetic meditation on the stillness that follows a turbulent natural event. At the heart of the composition lies the luminous silhouette of the city, bathed in a gentle glow — as if the world has been rediscovered anew. Its airy presence contrasts with the dark, saturated forms of the trees, which still seem to retain the breath of the storm.
The artist masterfully employs the expressive potential of watercolor: transparent washes, fluid blending of pigments, and delicate transitions of light and shadow convey an atmosphere filled with moisture and light. The composition appears to be structured as a movement — from the weighty, shadowed periphery toward the radiance at the center. Golden-orange flickers in the foliage and the misty sky suggest renewal and tranquility. This work stands as a hymn to light after darkness, to silence after unrest, to hope after the storm.
