Eduard Kufko
Born on March 4th, 1921 in the village of Slavotino of Tver Province (Russia). Graduated from the Abazersky Forest Technical School (1939), studied at the Yaroslavl Art School(1938-1939). A Great Patriotic War Veteran. Was in the fascist concentration camp, from 1946 to 1953 he was a prisoner of the Stalin GULAG. Has been rehabilitated in 1956. Since 1956 he took part in art exhibitions. Worked in the easel painting in genres of a picture, portrait, landscape, still life. From 1992 to 1996 he held a number of personal exhibitions in Belarus and USA. The works are in the biggest museums and picture galleries of Minsk and Brest, as well as in private collections in Belarus and foreign countries. Died on October 18th, 1998
