Winter

Winter

The painting “Winter” is executed in the traditions of realist landscape. In the foreground lies a snow-covered ground, where irregularities and shades of yellow and gray convey a sense of truthfulness and vitality. A row of slender birches with dark trunks stands against the backdrop of village houses, barely discernible through the interlacing branches. The color palette is subdued and cold, dominated by gray-white tones, yet warmed by reddish and brown hues of the buildings and forest, creating a harmony of winter stillness.
