Town of childhood

Town of childhood

The painting “City of Childhood” is executed in the manner of a metaphorical landscape, where architecture and memory merge into a single fabric of imagery. The artist saturates the composition with numerous details — houses, churches, courtyards, and stairways seem to overlap one another, creating the effect of a dream or a recollection. The lines of the buildings are curved and pliant, while trees intertwine with façades, transforming the city into a living organism. The color scheme is based on golden-amber, blue, and emerald tones, conveying a sense of warmth and nostalgic harmony. There is no single point of perspective: space is fragmented into parts like a mosaic of memory, where each element preserves the imprint of personal experience. The painting does not so much capture a real urban landscape as it recreates the emotional image of “lost time” — a mythologized place where childhood and history converge
