Indian summer
“Indian Summer” is a decorative painting that combines features of still life and abstract composition. At the center stands a tall vase with flowers or fruits, rendered in rich red-orange tones. The leaves and fruits seem to break into geometric forms, creating a sense of mosaic rhythm.
The background is executed in cool blue shades, enhancing the contrast with the warm elements of the composition and giving the painting an inner glow. The objects are depicted conventionally, with emphasized texture and generalized contours, which lends the work an associative, symbolic character.
The title “Indian Summer” refers to the brief yet vivid period between seasons, when nature still preserves the warmth and colors of the departing summer.
