In Belovezhskaya Pushcha
The work “In the Białowieża Forest” is a decorative landscape in which the artist conveys the grandeur and scale of the primeval forest. The composition is built on the rhythmic repetition of rounded tree crowns filling the entire space of the painting. The forest is depicted as a living, almost ornamental carpet receding into the depth of the horizon.
The color palette is based on golden-yellow, ochre, and green tones, evoking the feeling of autumn. A blue river winding between the masses of trees becomes the semantic center of the composition, adding dynamism and a cool accent. In the upper part of the canvas, clouds can be seen, reinforcing the sense of vastness and infinity.
The texture of the image resembles a tapestry or carving — every line seems hand-embroidered or engraved, which lends the landscape both decorativeness and monumentality
