Annunciation. Stained-glass windows in the Blessed Virgin temple. Vladivostok.

The stained-glass ensemble “Annunciation” in the Church of the Most Holy Theotokos in Vladivostok represents a monumental work of sacred art, where the traditional iconographic scene has been given a contemporary artistic interpretation. The central composition depicts the meeting of Archangel Gabriel and the Virgin Mary, placed within an architecturally symbolic space filled with light. The color palette is based on a combination of deep blues, golden, and white tones, symbolizing purity, divine grace, and heavenly radiance. The figures are distinguished by fluid lines and clear silhouettes, emphasizing the harmonious union of canonical austerity and decorative expressiveness. The stained-glass windows are designed so that light passing through the colored glass animates the images, transforming them into a dynamic liturgical action. Thus, the work becomes not only an artistic object but also part of the spiritual environment of the church, enhancing the religious experience of the faithful
