Music on the Road

One's car, for anyone who cannot imagine life without it, is always something more than just electrical circuits, parts and pieces of metal. For each of us, our car is a true joy, a faithful friend and helper that can help solve many problems and support us in difficult moments.

How wonderful it is to sit behind the wheel, put on a disc with your favorite music and take a spin in the breeze, not thinking about problems and worries, and just for a moment distract yourself and escape the everyday hustle and bustle of our world... To make the music in your car play at full power, carrying you into an unforgettable circle of sounds that frees you from troubles, you need to take care in advance of installing and connecting an amplifier. With such a unit in the car, your vehicle will be a complete oasis where you can break away from daily problems and give yourself up to personal daydreams.

Installing a subwoofer in a car (since this is the most suitable location for such electronic devices) does not require you to study circuit diagrams or select circuit components yourself. There are a great many enclosed subwoofers available on the Russian market. Sometimes such electronic devices may not fit because of their original dimensions, which take up too much usable space in the trunk. In that case, you can build an enclosure for the amplifier yourself. Fortunately, circuit parts and components for choosing and calculating subwoofers are now widely available. To buy the necessary components, you should visit supermarkets or other retail outlets where the sale of parts and circuit components is the main line of business.

To assemble and mount a woofer yourself you will need epoxy resin, the subwoofer driver, polyester putty, hot glue, screws, nails, plasticine, spray paint, carpet, corner tape, and paper masking tape. In general, there is no need to buy any circuit components or electronic devices.

To begin, you need to choose a location and prepare it with paper masking tape. Then, using cardboard, plasticine and tape, construct end pieces around the cutout level with the edge. This creates a mock-up of the potential enclosure for the amplifier. Smear it with Litol (a type of grease) and wrap it with fabric. After that you need to coat the mock-up with epoxy resin (in warm conditions). This way you get a mold of the required shape, and you will be able to assemble a subwoofer that fits the trunk configuration as closely as possible. Based on the size of the mock-up you will be able to assemble and then install the amplifier in the car without problems.
