Modern stretch ceilings — a stylish and practical finishing solution for any interior.

Stretch ceilings — a modern type of ceiling finish

Stretch ceilings If you remember how our parents suffered while renovating, it makes you sad. How exhausting their work was. Just the whitewashing of the ceiling was something. There was dirt and dust everywhere; furniture had to be taken out of the apartment, and the windows covered with something. All this just to make the apartment beautiful and interesting. In the present day, all this is much easier.

Many technologies have appeared that save time and effort when renovating a room. One of the most successful inventions, rightfully, is the stretch ceiling. This type of ceiling is something of a revolution in the world of interior design.

The material from which stretch ceilings are made is very simple, convenient, and practical. Compared to suspended ceilings, stretch ceilings are much cheaper and more practical. Suspended ceilings "eat up" a large part of the ceiling, whereas stretch ceilings are attached only 2–4 centimeters away from the original ceiling. With a stretch ceiling you can create any interior, or it will fit into any already finished room design. The color, configuration, and texture of the ceiling will depend only on your boundless imagination.

Nothing will limit you in choosing a stretch ceiling. French stretch ceilings are rightly considered a classic. It was in France that the technology for producing film ceilings was perfected and made flawless. Today French stretch ceilings are synonymous with stretch ceilings in general. It was in France that such a huge variety of colors and patterns for stretch ceilings was invented. Nowhere else, in no other country, is there such a diversity of textures.

And, by the way, French craftsmen still do not reveal their production secrets. The installation of stretch ceilings is in no way comparable to whitewashing a ceiling. The whole process takes no more than a few hours when installing a simple PVC sheet (it is the PVC film that is the basis of any stretch ceiling), and if additional lighting is installed, the entire job will take a day, no more. The PVC film is heated to the required temperature of 50°C and, once stretched and elastic, is pulled onto the baguette — the frame. Naturally, then the room cools, and the ceiling is ready. Fixtures are installed in the already even, stretched, smooth ceiling.

There is also a fabric base for stretch ceilings; it is stretched without heating. Stretch ceilings
