Short summary of article about: ecological legacy – nature or plastic waste?

What kind of legacy are we preparing — the green of trees or plastic bags

Humanity continues to pollute the Earth increasingly. Moreover, we do it unconsciously, not really thinking about what will happen to our offspring. Of course, all this is terribly disheartening, but with a little willingness the situation can be fixed. Think it's hard to change? No, that's definitely not the case. The beginning is what matters.

Take, for example, our behavior during long outdoor gatherings. How often do we see the now-familiar and annoying sight: torn wrappers lying on what used to be a green and beautiful meadow. And who forbids visitors from bringing garbage bags with them? Would that be such a hassle? It's really that simple! Bringing garbage bags, which cost next to nothing, is not a burdensome task. They can easily fit even in a small clutch, not to mention larger backpacks that are always present at a picnic. A great option for holding trash is the thin plastic shopping bag (the "T-shirt" bag) — they often remain after celebrations in quite large numbers.

Of course, it is not very spacious or capacious, but that's still no reason to leave waste on the grass where you were just sunbathing. Agree, a rather pleasant picture emerges: neat bags with logos, carefully lined up in a row. The most important thing is that all the trash is removed completely. In essence, you can use anything that will do. And that really would be a huge step toward protecting nature. If every person can carry away the trash they collected, and not leave it somewhere in the clearings of the forest, only then will we be able to keep the Earth clean and tidy. By the way, your group is not the only one who prefers to sit in a forest clearing, and there will be plenty of litter. Cellophane wrappers, various cans, stretch film used to wrap food in stores — all of this will stay in the ground for a very long time.

Those who decide to leave all these products of technological progress in the clearing will probably never see the moment when the aforementioned "delights" of the Earth are broken down. If we want to protect the Earth, if we care about our descendants, then it certainly makes sense to change our attitude to life. So look around — wrappers, stretch film, cellophane, packing tape, bags — this is what will appear instead of the beauty of nature, the green trees. At the moment, such a landscape is often the rule rather than the exception.

If everyone who goes out into nature follows these simple rules, the Earth will face no danger in the future.
