How to choose furniture for a dental office: comfort, hygiene, and efficiency.
Furniture for a Good Dental Clinic
What can we see when entering a dental clinic or a private dental office? Of course, the walls and the reception area. At first glance the registration room in a dental clinic looks like an ordinary room, but there are small differences: the reception is furnished almost like an office, there are archive shelving units for card files and document storage, computer equipment and computer desks. The interiors throughout the dental clinic are usually done in light (not dark) tones to visually enlarge the space and provide maximum comfort to the clinic's patients.
Next comes the corridor. This area of a dental clinic or private dental office is traditionally furnished with couches. More upscale dental clinics, whose services include tooth whitening, equip the hall with soft seating, coffee tables and a plasma or LCD panel. As a rule, relaxing, pleasant music can be heard in a modern dental clinic, intended to help relax a patient coming for a dental implant.
And most importantly — the implant office or the dentist's treatment room. Here there is always a dentist's chair and a patient chair, a mobile drawer unit and a glass table with medicines and supplies that form the workstation. Against one of the walls of the room there is typically a set of cabinets with various drawers and cupboards; there may be glass display cases for storing instruments, work materials and medications. Often the furniture set for a tooth-whitening room includes, in addition to the essential dental treatment equipment such as a scaler, an air-abrasion device and a dental unit, also equipment for storing and processing dental instruments after whitening with gel. Such equipment includes ultrasonic cleaners, instrument-drying machines, and sterile instrument storage cabinets.
The equipment of a dental implant office or a dental clinic depends on the intended purpose of the room. If we are talking about a room for therapeutic dental treatment, besides the usual set of furniture it should have dental treatment equipment. If it is a room for tooth whitening, it must include a tooth-whitening device. And in an implant room, in addition to the mandatory dental equipment, there should also be diagnostic equipment to monitor the progress of the implant procedure.
