Arkada

Foreign Limited Liability Company "Arkada" was registered on March 31, 2003 under No. 800019608 by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus. The company's authorized capital amounts to 200,000 (two hundred thousand) US dollars. The main objective of the company's production activities is the manufacture of vegetable and fruit-and-berry canned goods. Production activities began in July 2004. Prior to that, the enterprise carried out modernization and re-equipment of the Beloozersk Cannery acquired into ownership. During this period a complete modernization of engineering networks and communications was carried out; a gas boiler house, administrative building and water treatment station, a finished products warehouse and a salting section were built; the polyethylene container production section was launched; the canning workshop was re-equipped; and storage sheds for container storage were constructed. During the production season summer 2004 – spring 2005 the company mastered the production of more than 60 product names (trademark "MaKo") in the amount of 705 thousand conventional cans (TUB), of which 7 names are developments of Foreign LLC "Arkada". During the 2005–2006 season production of another 11 product names was mastered, of which 4 are our developments, and more than 1,343 TUBs of finished products were produced, of which 683 TUBs were under contracts with partners from the Russian Federation. The enterprise produces Russian brands "Ranet" and "Ovoschi i Frukty" (belonging to TD "Konservator"), the trademark "Vegda Product" (belonging to Vega LLC, St. Petersburg) and the trademark "Proshu k stolu" (belonging to Food Standard LLC, St. Petersburg). During the 2006–2007 season 2,193 TUBs were produced (of which 1,423 TUBs for the Russian Federation), and in the 2007–2008 season production is planned to be increased to 3,000 TUBs. In cooperation with the "Institute of Food Products" in Minsk, technical documentation for heat-stable fillings for confectionery production and fillings for the dairy industry has been developed and is in the process of signing; these products were previously not manufactured in the territory of the Republic of Belarus. Work is also underway to introduce products in polymer vacuum packaging for both pickled products and marinades, which will make finished products cheaper and expand sales markets by abandoning glass containers. Investments in fixed assets are made annually and new equipment is being implemented.

Foreign LLC "Arkada" is included in the "Program for the Development of Fruit and Vegetable Canning in the Republic of Belarus for 2006–2010", approved by Resolution of the Council of Ministers No. 106 of 27.01.2006. According to this program, production should amount to 3,000 TUBs.

Foreign LLC "Arkada" was recognized as a laureate of the "Best Entrepreneur 2005 in Brest Region" competition. In 2006 eight of the company's product names were awarded the quality mark "Best Goods of the Republic of Belarus 2006".

Foreign LLC "Arkada" currently has a US importer code: ID 16164242484, and is also working on obtaining import codes for its entire product range. This work is planned to be completed by the end of 2007, and the first deliveries of its products to the United States are planned for the next season.
