Building a pool step-by-step: structure, filtration, finishing, and design.

Building a Swimming Pool Step by Step

Building swimming pools is a labor-intensive process that requires high skill, attention, and responsibility from those who carry it out.

At the start of construction, a site assessment is usually carried out (groundwater level, soil condition) followed by pool design (developing the architecture, calculating the shell structure, selecting equipment, agreeing on the appearance, etc.). In the next stage the shell is cast, formwork is set up and the concrete is poured, necessarily with vibration. Before the shell is concreted, all cables and pipelines must be laid and niches made for the so-called embedded elements — equipment for the pool will later be "embedded" there.

It is impossible to separate the concepts of pool construction and waterproofing. The latter is arguably the most important stage, determining the quality and condition of the water in the pool and even the long-term durability of the concrete shell. Today the issue of reliable pool waterproofing can be addressed using various polymer materials.

Construction is completed with surface finishing works. To make the pool pleasing to the eye and distinctive, the modern market offers a wide range of mosaics, PVC liners, and pool tiles. Each material has its own unique properties; however, the final choice is always determined by the client's personal preferences.

The process of building a pool is a complex of construction and installation works, which always conclude with the installation of equipment, its connection to utility networks, commissioning, and finally handing the facility over for operation.

In summary, it should be said that pool construction requires strict adherence to the norms of the technological process, based on the use of modern technologies and materials, and, of course, the coordinated work of the contractor.
